He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Flannery, Sr. and Faye Owen; and his brother Kendall Flannery. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Buss Flannery of Dickson; his daughter Claire Lynn Benzing (David) of Palmdale; his brother Michael Flannery of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Matthew Benzing, Kylie Sun (Brendan), Tyler Benzing and Megan Benzing; and his nephew Ryan.
