He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Zelma Lucille Wall Heggie; his daughter Debra Gail Heggie; his siblings, Robert Joe Heggie, William Gracey Heggie, Garland Neal Heggie, Emma Jean Winstead, Mabel Carroll Anderson and Betty Sue Morgan; and the mother of his children Jane Davidson Heggie.
He is survived by: his sons, Tommy Heggie (Lisa) of Dickson and Devin Heggie of Dickson; his grandchildren, Tommy Heggie, Corey Heggie and Chris Bott; and his great grandchildren, Chelsea Heggie, Cameron Heggie and Kayden Heggie.
