He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Brown and Bonnie Brown; his son Dale Murphy; his granddaughter Haley Dale Murphy; his daughter-in-law Darlene Brown; his siblings, Wayne Brown (Doris), Dorothy Bateman (Wesley) and Sue Story; and his brother-in-law Johnnie Stamper.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Elaine Brown; his children, Michael Brown (Laurie) of Charlotte, Kenny Brown (Christina) of Clarksville, Jimmy Murphy (April) of Charlotte and Terri Rountree (Stephen) of Ocean Springs, MS; and his siblings, Howard Brown (Ivene) of Munford, KY, Roy Brown of Alabama and Jean Stamper of Burns. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
