She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora Lee Nicholson (Woodard) and Jack Nicholson; her husband Robert Cherry; her siblings, Pearl Lee Nicholson, Christine Black, Buford Nicholson, Felix Nicholson and Norman Nicholson; and her son-in-law L. D. Hedge.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Ann Hedge (Charles), Donald Ray Shadowens, Jr. (Judy), Jack E. Shadowens (Karin Michelle) and Gary Lee Shadowens, Sr. (Terrie); and her grandchildren, Danny Hedge (Crystal), Chase Hedge (Belle), Michelle Alexander (Michael), Tony Hedge, Ashley Graves, Tray Shadowens, Bobby Shadowens, James (Alex), Jimmy Shadowens (Sydney), Hope Brown (Kyler), Ethan Shadowens (Samantha), Amy Hines (Sean), Gary Shadowens, Jr., Keisha Taylor and Shawn Feinstein. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
