She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Mac" McGee and Kathryn Purcell; her son Tony Lee; her grandchildren, Dusty Girvan and Kimberley Hobbs; and her brothers, Dick McGee, Bill McGee and Tommy McGee.

She is survived by: her husband Glenn H. Layton; her children, Michelle Locklear (David) of Dickson, TN, Glenda Hasley (Terry) of Dickson, TN, Mike Lee (Tammy) of Waverly, TN, Phillip Lee (Angela) of Waverly, TN and William Vance Layton (Clarissa) of Dickson, TN; and her sisters, Barbara Bracey of Franklin, TN and Shirley Beech (Steve) of Kingston Springs, TN.. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
