He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Walton and Dora Williamson Divoky; his wife Donna Walton; and his brothers, Paul Walton and James "Tip" Walton.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jason Lane, Hailey and Harley; his children, Rachel McDonald (Nathan) of Dickson, David Walton, Jr. of Dickson, Jason Walton (Sara) of Brookfield, IL, Jeremy Walton of Bartlett and Christopher Walton (Denise) of Westchester, IL; and his sister Alice Carroll of Dyersburg. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
