He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer C Garren and Wilma Lindner Garren; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Rogers Garren, Charles Patton, Mayme Poteet Underwood, Bill Poteet and Fred Poteet; and his nephew Gary Poteet.
He is survived by: his wife Chloey Poteet Garren; his siblings, Bill (Sue Garren), Ray (Kaye Garren), Ruth Patton and Sarah (Ted Swafford); and his sister-in-law Maxine Poteet Hunt.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of the Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Bordwine Funeral Home (203 Ohio Ave, Etowah, TN 37331). A committal service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Delano Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Delano Lions Club, 109 Carolina Avenue, Delano, TN 37325.
