He is survived by: his wife Tammy Kay Messer; his brother Darrell Messer of Del Rio; his parents-in-law, Lonnie D. Brooks Sr. (Mary) of Del Rio and Savannah Lane; his siblings-in-law, Libby Brooks of Jefferson County and Lonnie Brooks Jr.; and his nieces and nephews, Nikki Brooks (Shaun Cobbs) of Morristown, Amanda Foster, Brian Messer of Cosby, Josh Messer of Del Rio, Bradley Brooks (Morgan Mooneyham) of Cosby, Timmy Messer of Newport and Roth Messer of Newport. He is also survived by great nephew and several great nieces, nephews family and friends.
