He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford Metcalf and Eliza Ann Turner Metcalf; his siblings, Joseph, George Metcalf and Freida Metcalf; and his son Jason Paul Metcalf.

He is survived by: his wife Gail Metcalf of Del Rio; his daughter Chrystal Metcalf Cheek (David) of Seymour; and his sisters, Vernell Metcalf Holt (Tony) of Del Rio and Vonda Metcalf of Newport. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family and friends.
