He was predeceased by: his parents, Ada Self and Walter Self; and his siblings, Oree Cagle, Roy Self and Clifford Self.
He is survived by: his sister Opal Carlisle; his cousin Mark Grigsby; and his niece Sandra Cagle. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews, many friends and his church family.
