He was predeceased by: his son Charles Parton Jr.; his parents, John S. Parton and Maggie Swanger Parton; and his sisters, Wilma Parton and Betty Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Parton; his daughters, Linda Ramsey (Jerry) of Asheville and Joyce Lawson (Terry) of Hot Springs; his grandchildren, Travis Ramsey (Heather) of Asheville and Corey Lawson (Rebecca) of Raeford; his great grandchildren, Peyton Ramsey of Asheville and Dalila Coates of Raeford; and his sister Brenda Gilbert (Ricky) of Newport.
