He was predeceased by: his brothers, Ronnie Etheridge and Roger Dale Etheridge. He is survived by: his wife Kay Counts Etheridge of Decherd; his son Kevin Matheny of Nashville; his grandchild Jess "J. J."; his brother Dennis Etheridge (Linda); and his aunt Bessie Bruno of Nashville.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
