He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gentry and Cora Estelle Jones (Mullican); his brother Stanton Jones (Patsy); and his nieces-in-law, Becky Jones and Loraine Duckett.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Jones, Michael Jones, Tabitha Jones and Bridgett Watts (Alvin); his grandchildren, Michael Pauley, Derrick Jones, Jeffery Jones, Brian Jones, Tommy Jones and Katelynn Jones; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Roddy, Clarakate, Silas and Amelia; his siblings, Shirley Duckett (Allen) and Gaye Payne (Charley); his sister-in-law Marilyn Jones; and his nieces and nephews, Sonya Johnston (Dave), Carey Jones, Brian Jones (Gina), Carolyn Derting (Ron), Mark Duckett, Alice Chetwood (Robert), Nathan Payne (Tonya) and Julie Scott (Andrew). He is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Baptist Church (108 Memorial Dr, Winchester, TN 37398). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
