He was predeceased by: his daughter Tammy Jet; his sister Ann Anderson; his daughter-in-law Missy Thomas; and his stepmother Pearl Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Thomas of Decherd; his children, Gail Thomas of Shelbyville, Alton Thomas, Jr., Tony Thomas and James R. Thomas; and his uncle Clifford Blankenship of Winchester.
