It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joevelyn Gurley of Decaturville, Tennessee, born in Decatur, Tennessee, who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elven Maxwell and Opal Smith Maxwell of Parsons, TN.; her husband Robert Gurley; her brother Ralph Maxwell; and her nephews, Tommy D. McFall and Patrick Maxwell.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Shawn Gurley (Tracie) of Alpharetta, GA and Bradley Maxwell Gurley (Kristie) of Oak Ridge, TN; her grandchildren, Zach (Sarah), Brady, Noah, Francesca, Luke, Tatiana, Jonas, Ryan, Bella and Beau; her great grandchild Milo; her siblings, Yancy McFall (Thomas) and Ronnie Maxwell (Lisa); and her sister-in-law Edna Maxwell.
