He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Pauline "Polly" and Harold Albert Schaefer; his grandson Adam; his stepdaughter Linda; and his son-in-law Mike Burnett.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cox; his children, Bill Schaefer (Shondra) and Laurie Boiardi (Tony); his stepsons, Tim Cox (Traci) and Ken Cox (Mei Hsuah); and his sister Gail Wooten. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery (14108 N Nopone Valley Rd, Decatur, TN 37322).
