He was predeceased by: his parents, Avie McCarty and Marvin McCarty; and his grandson Nicholas Martinez. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Morgan McCarty; and his daughters, Donna Martinez (Rolando), Pam Fisher (Ian), Lorrie McCarty, Tonya McCarty, Phyllis Shelton (Rick), Marilyn Moore (Charlie) and Billie Worthington (Jason). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
