He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hicks and Lottie Shannon Hicks; and his siblings, John Hicks Jr., Betty Stafford, Mary Moore, Joyce Bidwell, Margaret Moore, Dean Stafford, Linda Williams, Tommy Hicks, Bonnie Barker and Vina Melton.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Dennis Hicks; his son Greg Hicks (Barabara); his grandchildren, Crystal Schrimpsher (David), Bailey Hicks and Haley McNelley; and his great grandchildren, Savannah Collins, Madi Schrimpsher and Jonah Schrimpsher.
