With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Franklin Leon Hicks of Decatur, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hicks and Lottie Shannon Hicks; and his siblings, John Hicks Jr., Betty Stafford, Mary Moore, Joyce Bidwell, Margaret Moore, Dean Stafford, Linda Williams, Tommy Hicks, Bonnie Barker and Vina Melton.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Dennis Hicks; his son Greg Hicks (Barabara); his grandchildren, Crystal Schrimpsher (David), Bailey Hicks and Haley McNelley; and his great grandchildren, Savannah Collins, Madi Schrimpsher and Jonah Schrimpsher.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services (163 Arrants Rd, Decatur, TN 37322). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beta Cemetery (8956 TN-58, Decatur, TN 37322).
