He was predeceased by: his son Dan Layman Jr.; his parents, Ted Layman and Bessie Marie Layman; and his siblings, Don, Harold, Ted Jr., Ed, Johnnie Layman, Ann Layman, Marvice, Murrill and Marion Layman.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Denton Layman; his children, Melissa Wilson (Mark), Regina Kirk (Jason) and Jason Layman (Tabitha); his grandchildren, Derrick, Darren, Dixie, Jacy, Elin Layman, Tristan, Noah and Madison Fischer; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Elizabeth, Michael, Sarah Layman, Brentley and Baylor McNabb; and his close friend B. B.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, friends, neighbors.
