He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Grant Jahncke and Margaret Jahncke (Henriques); and his brother Herbert Grant Jahncke II. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jahncke (Hebert) of Dayton; his children, Walter Jahncke III (Michele) of Des Moines, Catherine Jahncke (Rosemary Philips) of Canton and Joshua Jahncke (Lizzy) of Dayton; his grandchildren, Walter Jahncke (Rachel) of IV, Barton Reed-Jahncke (Beth), Milton, Amelie, Ren, Tristan, Marie and Bastian; and his brother Robert Jahncke (Beth). He is also survived by cousins, aunts, uncles and younger brothers.

Memorial gifts in Walter's name may be made to Grace Bible Church.
