He was predeceased by: his parents, Quentin Thurman and Jessie Yother Thurman; and his sister Eva Kay Sinclair. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sue Meador Thurman; his children, Stacy Sharp (Ken), Stoni Riley (Tommy), Lisa Chalker (Derry), Tom Thurman (Tonya), Peggy Yawn (Wade), Christina Baily (Paul) and Charlene Cochran; his niece Donna Sinclair; and his nephew Kerry Sinclair. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home, Inc. (1670 Market St, Dayton, TN 37321-1130). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
