Shelba Jean Dodd Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shelba Jean Dodd of Dayton, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Shelba Jean's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Shelba Jean has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edwin Dodd and Vada Dodd (Jones); her children, Sonya Smith of Soddy-Daisy, Damien Dodd (Daryl Creasman) of Dayton, Sandi Madrigal of Georgia and Brandi Self (Jose Bastida) of Knoxville; and her sister Sandra Tankersley of Evensville. She was also cherished by her 15 grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews; and her aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vanderwall Funeral Home (164 Maple St, Dayton, TN 37321). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at the Hamilton Memorial Park (8900 Dallas Hollow Rd, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379).
