He is survived by: his wife Gail Poole Newell; his sons, Jeff Newell (Mindy) of Evensville and Kevin Newell of Dayton; his grandson Brandon Newell; and his siblings, David Newell (Diana) of Soddy Daisy, TN, Tom Newell (Alice) of Suwanee, GA and Linda F. Newell of Dayton, TN. He is also survived by many extended family, nieces and nephews.
