She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Hutson and Violet Patton Hutson; and her siblings, James, Joe, Lawrence Hutson and Ruby Naomi LeFuze.
She is survived by: her husband Oscar Buchannen "Joe" May, Sr.; and her children, Oscar Buchannen "Bucky" May, Jr. (Michelle Simon) and Tammy Lynette Garmany of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
