He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mize and Mittie Mize (Powell); his wife Libby Mize; and his son Jeremy Mize. He is survived by: his siblings, Kern Mize (Mary) of Dayton, OH, Cecil Mize (Ramona) of Rossville, GA and Pat Mize; his children, Franklin Booth, Tim Mize (Rachel McBay) of Spring City, TN, Melanie Rievley Leffew (Randy), Sunny (Michael) and Angel; his grandchildren, Bradley Booth, Taylor Dumke (Dakota), Shaun Rievley (Kelli), Brandon Rievley (Candice), Dylan Angel (Cathryn) of Rockland, MA, Briar Mize of Union City, TN, Jaelyn, Caleb Mize, Grace Vaughn and Kaylee Sarah McBay; and his great grandchildren, Jordan Booth, Skylar, Ansley Rievley, Case, Magnolia Dumke and Micah Hancock of Spring City, TN.
