He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lenard Pelfrey and Avis Marie Croften Vanvalkenburg; and his sister Helen Clark. He is survived by: his children, Katrina Rutan (Richard) of Chattanooga, TN, Regina Johnson (Shawn) of Battle Creek, MI and Preston Pelfrey (Laurie) of Belgium; and his siblings, Charlene Bassler of Battle Creek, MI, Roberta Pelfrey of Battle Creek, MI, Tina Farrow of Cleveland, TN, Stephanie Gonzalez of Spring City, TN, Charles Steven Pelfrey of Battle Creek, MI and Shawn Pelfrey of Spring City, TN. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
