It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann Dunn McKaig of Dayton, Tennessee, born in Black, Alabama, who passed away on April 9, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Barner and Annie Spann McDonald; her former husband Joe Lee Dunn; and her siblings, Jack Wayne, Wilburn Earl McDonald and Yvonne Dunn.
She is survived by: her husband Michael W. "Micky" McKaig of Dayton, TN; her children, Jennifer Dunn Barton (Joe) of Panama City, FL, James Dunn (Charline) of Bonifay, FL and Jerry Dunn (Barbara) of Bonifay, FL; her stepsons, Steven Douglas McKaig (Esther) of Lawrenceburg, KY and Jonathan Cory McKaig (Lindsey) of Dayton, TN; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Barton (Aaryn), Joanna Barton, Jake Dunn, Chasity Herman (Phillip), Jeremy Dunn and Robert Ogburn; her stepgranddaughters, Faith, Hannah and Rachel McKaig; and her sisters, Nell Jean Bridges of Geneva, AL and Ira Norsworthy of Geneva, AL. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
