He was predeceased by: his parents, James Polk Gentry and Sitha Marie Howser Gentry; his wife Betty Laverne Gentry; his daughter Keita Cashman; his grandson Clay Worthington; and his siblings, Elizabeth Pittman, Darlene Quinn, Mary Lawson and Bobby Gentry.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Worthington (Bobby) of Pikeville, TN, Jim Gentry (Katie) of Dayton, TN, Kelly Commins (Will) of Dayton, TN and Sitha West (Andy) of Gruetli-Laager, TN. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
