She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marion Patterson and Dixie Dysart Marsh; her husbands, Walter Sessions Houseal and Andrew Wilton LaMar, Jr.; her daughters, Dixie Houseal Rapuano (Ken, Mary Sessions) and Powell (Bill, Marian Houseal); her grandsons, Scott Rapuano, Will Rapuano, Michael Hoffman, Matthew Hofman and Walter Hoffman; and her stepchildren, Julie Shoemaker of Andy Lamar, Lucy Lee LaMar and Bill LaMar. She was also cherished by her grandmothers, aunts and siblings.
