He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kandi Michaels Self; his stepfather Aleene Gilmer; his children, Cody Sanders Self (Michelle), Maggie Swafford, Christa Hankins (Trent), Patty Pendergrass (Shane) and Mandy Edwards (Aaron); his grandchildren, Jace, Christian, Aedyn, Katelyn, Hailee, Tyler, Emilee, Macy, Natalee, Liberty, Lilly, Ryder, Eli, Maverick, Maddox, Griffin and Alex; his siblings, Cindy Hardin (Mark) and Jody Self (Jan); and his stepsiblings, Gary Frost (Dede), Darrell Frost (Dee Dee) and Rebekah Broome. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
