He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Henry Melton and Gladys Byers Melton; and his brother Bobby Melton. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Syboney Hinojosa Melton; and his children, Christopher Melton of North Georgia and Victoria Madison of North Georgia. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
