The passing of Bill Harris (Dayton, Tennessee) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 10, 2024 at the age of 79. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Whitlock (Whit) and Robbie Newman Harris; his siblings, Norene Thurman, JB and Alvin Harris; his in-laws, Edith Harris, Odell Thurman, Betty Harris Corder, Claude Pendergrass, Odessa Harris and Pat Conner; and his nephews, Steve Thurman, Danny, Ricky, Barry, Larry and Ben Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Holland Harris; his children, Brock Harris (Julie) of Dayton, Melinda Walls (Barry) of Dayton, Billy Harris (Carol) of Smyrna, TN and Ernie Harris of Dayton; his grandchildren, Jake Harris (Taylor) of Dallas Texas, Cameron Harris (Kristen) of Prattville, Maeve Smith (Lyle), Madeline Walls of Dayton, Abbie Harris, Olivia Harris of Smyrna and Spencer Harris of Dayton; his great grandchildren, Ava Harris and Bennett Harris of Prattville; and his siblings, Colonel Harris (Jo) of Dayton, Tom Harris (Patricia) of Lebanon, Betty Pendergrass of Dayton, Eva Layman (Newt) of Spring City and Ron Harris (Gloria) of Dayton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New Union Baptist Church (4060 Double S Rd, Dayton, TN 37321).
