He was predeceased by: his mother Ernestine Doss; and his brother Chuck Doss. He is survived by: his wife Diana Doss; his father David Doss; his children, Tim Doss (Brenda), Jenika Hancock (Jon) and Anita Henderson (Dustin); his siblings, Becky Reel (Gene), Wayne Doss (Sandy) and Gary Doss (Cheryl); and his grandchildren, Dominic Doss, Abby Doss, Marley Doss, Sarah Doss, Micah Doss, Mariah Doss, Izack Hancock, Chayse Hancock, Zane Hancock and Dylan Henderson.
