She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon West and Alice West. She is survived by: her husband William Houston; her brother Ron West (Carmen); her children, Amy Smith-Berkley, Keith Smith (Maria) and Jennifer Marsh (John); and her grandchildren, Ryan Berkley (MeLynn), Alyssa Waire (Joey), Hope Berkley and Aedan Marsh. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to her favorite charity, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
