He is survived by: his son James David Caraway (Faye); his siblings, Winford "Buddy", Wilford "Bit", Clifford "Buck" Caraway, Ann Stinnett, Alma Jean, Betty Faye Caraway and Charlotte "Shorty" Blaylock; and his grandchildren, David Aaron Caraway (Whitney) and Erika Danielle Caraway (Jimmy).
