He was predeceased by: his daughter Donna Carole Threadgill; his parents, Joe Threadgill and Mary Nell Threadgill; and his brothers, Bobby Joe Threadgill and Billy Ray Threadgill.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bradfield Threadgill; his daughter Daphne Woods (David); his stepson Robert Owens Jr.; and his grandchildren, Bubba Robert Owens III, Shelby Owens, Jessica Perry, Haley Zurofsky (Nathan), Angel Zaragoza, Pricilla Zaragoza and William Woods. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
