She was predeceased by: her parents, John Howard and Laura Carrington Howard Dills; her husbands, Coline Holmes and Nelson Reeves, Sr.; her son Alvin Holmes; her sisters, Raymell Howard, Arbelle Holmes and Rudene Maness; and her great grandchild Cameron Pevahouse.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Casteel (Danny); her stepchildren, Reatha Tharp (Philip) and Nelson Reeves Jr. (Angie); her grandchildren, Felecia Perkins Smith, Brandy Fisher (Alan), Christopher Holmes, Crystal Boynton (Jason), Brooklyn Hudson, Allyson Reeves, Alyssa Reeves and Candace Boyd; and her great grandchildren, Aden Ayers, Halen Smith, Greyde Hudson, Lyndie Hudson and Case Reeves.
