He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Countiss and Willie Countiss (Bowman); his wife Hazel Countiss; and his brother Bob Countiss. He is survived by: his child Dale Brooks (Tony); his grandchildren, Steve McCarley, Michelle, Brandi Blankenship (James), Melissa Summit and L. Tony Brooks; his great grandchildren, Michael McCarley (Willow), Maci McCarley, Isaiah and Tori Blankenship; and his great great grandchildren, Reece, Ryland McCarthy and Neyland Richards. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
