She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Brooks and Ruth Horner; her husband Robert Atkins; her brother Larry Brooks; and her son-in-law Ricky Tipton.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Brown (Rhonda) of Daniel Brown and Linda Kimmel (Ron) of Lisa Tipton; her grandchildren, Shane Brown, Joshua Moon (Angela), Jason Moon, Erin Matthews, Stephanie Ballinger (Gavin) and Melissa Paauwe (Rick); and her brothers, Jeff Brooks (Martha) and Benny Brooks (Glendal). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
