She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Derrick and Nola Derrick (Byrd); her siblings, Hal Derrick and Alma Jean Thornton; and her nephew Barry Fox.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Thornton; her children, Terry Thornton (Pat) and Tena Brockwell; her grandchildren, Tim Christy, Amy Horton (Brian), Derrick Brockwell (Julie) and Jamie O'Donoghue (Danny); her great grandchildren, Brady Horton (Bree), Conner Horton (Duncan), Chesney, Chase Wolfenbarger, Pacey, Lelan Brockwell, Bray and Brock O'Donoghue; her sister Pauline Fox; and her sisters-in-law, Ann Derrick and Wanda Clevenger. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
