She was predeceased by: her husband Anthony Gaut Sr.; her parents, Blair McMurtery and Pantha McMurtery (Pat); her siblings, Daniel McMurtery and Deborah Wise; and her nephew David Wise.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Hechler (Robert) and Caryn Armstrong (Jeremy); her siblings, Martin McMurtery (Marlene), Trudy Black and Scott McMurtery (Carol); her grandchildren, Austin Clevenger (Maizie), Taylor Cutshaw (Dylan), Anabelle Armstrong, Alyssa Gaddis and Tabatha Armstrong; and her niece Trudy McMurtery. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the French Broad Baptist Church (2117 Oak Grove Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
