It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Celeste Batson of Dandridge, Tennessee, who passed away on July 30, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Cate and Evaudna Cate (Mason). She is survived by: her husband Condon Batson; her daughter Debra Lynn Batson; her siblings, Carroll, Gary Cate and Betty Ballard (Alfred); her parents-in-law, Lawrence and Mattie Batson; her pet Misty Gwyn; her children, Jeff Batson (Jeanie) and Sonyna Carr (Stephen); her grandchildren, Jeffery Steven Batson (Heather), Chrystall Wade (Nicholas), Zach Batson, Stephanie Carr and Gidget Shrader (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Brittany Celeste Vincent (Garrett), Miranda Ingram (Jacob), Hunter Wade, Garrett and Maeson Crusenberry; her siblings, JoAnn Morgan (James), Wanda Smith (J. B.) and Charlie Cate (Libby); and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Cate and Dorothy Cate.
