She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Goforth; her parents, Alma Baxter and Parmer Thornton; and her siblings, Faye Greene, Christine Bettis, Nancy Thornton, Baxter Thornton, Robert Thornton and Judson Thornton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kim Rogers (Mike) and Eva Barker (Paul); her grandchildren, Lora Barker Stormes, Cari Barker Levesque (Pierre), Dana Rogers and Richard Barker (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Addilyn Grace and Sophia Marie; her cousin George Williams (Peggy); and her close friends, Bill and Dorothy Morie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
MARIE THORNTON GOFORTH, age 84, of Dandridge, TN departed this life on Saturday, July 17, 2021 after a four year battle with Parkinson's Disease.
