Luther Batson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luther Batson of Dandridge, Tennessee, who passed away on February 5, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his children, Ruby Rainwater Batson, Kim Batson Jones and Donald Batson; his stepdaughter Dinah Hensley Vann; and his siblings, Condon Batson and Kern Henderson.

He is survived by: his wife Lois Batson; his children, Frank Batson (Donna), Bill Batson (Kathy) and Jeannie Thornton (Ed); his daughter-in-law Lynn Batson; his grandchildren, Jonathan Thornton, Belinda Brown and Elizabeth Tetrick; his siblings, Tom Batson (Betty) and Emily Fox; his sister-in-law Celeste Batson; and his extended family, Carol, Ronnie Burgin, Pam and Brad Burgin. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
