He is survived by: his parents, Lee Bird and Pat Bird; his daughters, Rebecca Joyce Brimer and Sarah Ann Brynjulson; his wife Linda Joyce Bird; his sons-in-law, David Brimer and Kyle Brynjulson; his grandsons, Oliver Brimer and Dakota Brynjulson; and his brothers, Geoff Bird and Stephen Bird.
