We are sad to announce that on December 21, 2022, at the age of 68, Linda J. Mattingly of Dandridge, Tennessee, born in Dayton, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmo G. Hollis and Anna L. Case Hollis; and her brother Gary Hollis. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Mattingly; her sons, Quinn R. Mattingly (Ngan Nguyen) of Hoi An, Viet Nam and Kyle A Mattingly (Trinh Mai); her granddaughter Kela Thien Kim Mattingly (Viet Nam) of Hoi An; and her siblings-in-law, Joel Mattingly (Lori) of Dandridge and Glenna Bryant (Tom Bair) of Wilmington, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and hundreds of her loving friends and past co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, friends may direct donations to the Sabina Church of Christ (Food Pantry), First Baptist Church of Dandridge, Tennessee (Koinonia Sunday School Class) or Pishon Christian Church of Ho ChiMinh City, Viet Nam, c/o Ngan Nguyen-Mattingly, P.O. 487, Dandridge, Tennessee 37225.

“I'm sending my thanks to Heaven for you Linda. In the short time I've known you, you've made a great impression on me. It was nice when you sent food with Dennis when he was checking up on me at work. But, the kindest thing you did for me was listen to my heartache about my son's illness, while you were battling your own. Every time you saw me, you would ask about him and that you were praying for him. It's commedable the grace you had through our conversations. I am grateful for you.”

Her sense of humor, caring heart, acceptance of others, and unconditional love were just some of the qualities that drew me and others to her.
