He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Rayburn Jones and G. Marcus Jones; and his nephew Ben Goodson. He is survived by: his pets, Labrador Retrievers and Ralph; his wife Mary Creech Jones; his siblings, Sandy Jones Smith (Andy) and Mark Barber Jones (Dana); his sisters-in-law, Donna Creech and Nancy Creech Goodson (David); his niece Abbe Smith McCracken (Ryan); his nephews, Parker James Smith (Kelci), Casey Rayburn Smith (Kellie), Alex Jones (Kendall) and Neil Goodson (Elisabeth); and his close friends, Alice and Rick Moody. He is also survived by eight great-nieces and nephews.
