He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Pete" Walker and Joyce Newman Walker; his sister-in-law Brenda Walker; his nephew Jay Howard Walker; his uncle Gene; and his aunt Mary Haynes.
He is survived by: his wife June Walker; his children, John Walker Jr. and Jennifer Dawn Diaz; his grandson William Diaz; and his brother J. Ray. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the funeral home for help with expenses.
