He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Miller and Edith Miller; his daughter Robbie Miller; and his siblings, Ted Ray Miller, Ace Miller, Jennie Lou Sendo and Barbara Sue Ferris.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Patterson Sadosky and Jim "Denver" Miller II (Amy); his grandchildren, Gioia Tonarini, Lacie Olson, Ivy Miller, Jim, Denver and Miller III; his great grandchildren, Gianna, Anthony and Lilly; and the mother of his children Thelma "Tee" Miller.
