He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Acee and John Acee; and his brother Johnny. He is survived by: his wife Christine Acee; his children, Jessica, Craig, Gavin (Kelli) and Daniel (Sandy); his siblings, Trent (Martha Acee) and Sue Acee; his mother-in-law Edna Cogswell; his brother-in-law Ian (Sally Cogswell); his grandchildren, Vicki Dean and Marquitta Fraley; and also, Alexia, Colin, Karleigh, Grayson and Stella. He is also survived by four children.
